"161" is produced from the herd sire producing pathfinder dam B Pride 463 of Mc Cumber, who is also the granddam to the $37,000 high-selling Lot 1 in the 2012 McCumber Angus Bull Sale. 161 is a masculine, muscular beef bull with an abundance of shape to his top, width to his rump, and depth from fore rib to flank. He is wide based, smooth shouldered, tight sheathed, and posted an ADG of 3.98 lbs/day and earned a 365 day weight of 1312 lbs. to ratio 106. His scan data was solid as well with an IMF ratio of 110, and a REA ratio of 102. His dam has been a consistent producer of pounds and performance while maintaining a spotless record for fertility and productivity. She has a WWR 6@112, YWR 6@108, IMF 6@110, REA @100 and her grand dam was still in production at the age of 18 in TX. B Pride 463 has that ideal wedge shaped look. She is a big bodied cow with plenty of thickness, sound feet and legs, and an udder that should last forever. She has maintained her pathfinder status since she qualified after 3 calves and was flushed for the first time last spring in order to get more daughters of her into production. There is no guesswork with this one. His dam has not missed. His sire, Entrepreneur is the result of mating the standard for performance, and longevity Rito 707 with an N-Bar donor still in production at the age of 17. Phenotypically 161 is impressive, in addition to this he has been bred to be a reliable source of herd building genetics. Owned with McCumber Angus, Rolette, ND. |

Semen Interest owned with Crowfoot Cattle Company, Standard, AB
Our pick of the Legacy sons, Equation is a real powerhouse out of a beautiful Tomwall Pied Piper 413 daughter, a granddaughter of Shoshone PP 7105, the bull Tom Walling believed to be the best cow maker he had ever used.
"5793R" packs a lot of muscle, has good structure and large testicles and is an efficient breeder. We have used this bull heavy for two years because he has done more things right than any bull we have used so far. His dam (WR: 105, YR: 111) was one of the high-selling females in the Crowfoot Dispersal and goes back to the dam of our senior herdsire "1670L" who has been flushed by Ole Farms.
Equations paternal granddam, OCC Dixie Erica 960E, is a beautiful OCC Anchor 771A daughter and is also the dam of OCC Hunter 928E.

His donor dam, Pat Lady Erica 8984, is perhaps the best cow Crowfoot has sold to-date when considering the amount of sale features the CFCC prefix has produced for other breeders in a post-dispersal era. She has combined weaning and yearling ratios of 108 and 110 respectively and is extremely sound as a fourteen year old cow. Sons of 026S exhibit traditional Angus characteristics with built-in calving-ease and maternal characteristics.

Chapman Memento 0505X

Sinclair Memento 8RL5
|
|
0505X topped our bull sale with an interest going to Crowfoot Cattle Co. for $16,500 and was one of the most unique herd bull prospects to sell in 2012 with a pedigree consisting of multiple generations of top females known for fertility, udder quality, and adaptability. He is moderate framed, deep bodied, wide based, and tracks wide and true as he travels. Linebred for consistency, and stamped with the predictability of sires known to produce top females, 0505X could be utilized as a changer, or would fit a grass-based program where I would expect him to sire the type of easy fleshing, forage efficient cattle that will thrive in even the harshest environments. One of the best parts about 0505X is his outstanding dam and the cow family behind him. His donor dam, Rev Erica 5752R, is a moderate framed, easy fleshing, good footed daughter of OCC Joker 620J. Her udder is typical of the Joker-bred females and sets the standard for quality with small well placed teats, and snug rear and fore udder attachment. She is the dam to the high-selling bull in our 2010 bull sale, Chapman Joker 8503U, to Ole Farms in AB. Her Shoshone PP 7105-bred granddam, 755K, is best known as the dam of resident herdsire, Crowfoot Equation 5793R. Her great granddam 7289 produced another resident herd sire for us in Crowfoot Bruno 1670L who was the high selling bull in their '02 bull sale, and she later went on to serve as an aged-donor for Ole Farms
